Introduction of three most common waste products of human body by Dr Dushyant Nirmal certified Ayurvedic Doctor From India in Latvia Europe 🌍
In Ayurveda, the three primary waste products of the body are known as Mala. They are not merely waste to be discarded but are considered essential by-products of digestion and metabolism that play a crucial role in maintaining health. Their proper formation and timely elimination are just as important as proper nutrition.
The three main Mala are:
1. Purisha (Stool)
· What it is: Solid waste, or feces.
· Governed by: Vata Dosha (specifically Apana Vayu).
· Significance: Proper elimination of Purisha is fundamental to health. It removes solid waste from the body, and its consistency, frequency, and ease of passage are key indicators of digestive health (Agni) and Vata balance. Accumulated stool is a primary cause of toxicity (Ama) and disease.
2. Mutra (Urine)
· What it is: Liquid waste.
· Governed by: Kapha and Apana Vayu (a sub-dosha of Vata).
· Significance: Mutra helps eliminate excess water and water-soluble toxins from the body. Its color, clarity, frequency, and volume provide important clues about the state of hydration and the balance of doshas, particularly in the urinary tract.
3. Sveda (Sweat)
· What it is: Waste expelled through the skin as sweat.
· Governed by: Pitta Dosha.
· Significance: Sveda helps regulate body temperature, hydrates the skin, and removes lipid-soluble toxins. Healthy sweating is a sign of balanced Pitta and proper channel function (Srotas). Either too much or too little sweat can indicate an imbalance.
In summary, Ayurveda views these three mala as vital indicators of internal balance. Their proper management—through diet, lifestyle, and Panchakarma therapies—is a cornerstone of preventing disease and maintaining well-being.
